I like to play hard! Some times that comes with physical effects on my body. To relieve myself from physical soreness, stress or just to pamper myself I go straight to "Doorway Massage". I have never had a more educated, relaxing and fulfilling massage as I have here. Truly, these artists love what they do and it shows. If you need a massage you need to go here!

Outstanding!
As an aging athlete and former massage therapist myself, I know the difference between an average massage therapist and a healer.
The massages I received here really helped with my aches and pains. I went in with a minor sprain and felt better immediately! These guys are true professionals!
Thanks

I have been going to David at the Doorway for 4 years. I have a lower back problem where I am always in some degree of pain. Davids deep tissue work and his dedication to keeping me healthy has paid off. Not only do I go mostly once a week, but he gave me an at home plan to help with keeping my muscles loose and flexible. I can say, without any hesitation, that David is the best massage therapist I have ever been to. That would include about 7 therapists over 20 year time frame. No one else works on my body but David - EVER!

Had a great deep tissue massage from one of the therapists here. Nice comfortable little massage studio.

I had a massage at The Doorway for Bodywork last Friday and I must say it was THE BEST! My therapist not only got my problem areas worked out but she listened to me complain without interrupting. She had great pressure and showed me some stretches that I didn't know. And even though she was working my knots out she had a way of making me relax the entire time. She gave me great at-home tips and was very knowledgeable in what areas needed work.

I am a long time customer of The Doorway and have been very satisfied over the years with the quality of the massage they provide. I have mainly had David, the owner provide bodywork for me and more recently a new hire for The Doorway provided bodywork for me and they are both fantastic! They are receptive to one's individual needs and go one step beyond by providing customized essential oil blends and many massage options, such as hot rock massage, etc. What is even better is that they are a neighborhood business, so, it enables me to support the local economy which is very important to me. I highly recommend The Doorway!

I've been going to David for 7 years. I'd been to at least 20 masseurs and masseuses before I finally found him. Thank God. Not only is he incredibly good at and knowledgable about what he does, but he has a true healer's vocation. His space may not have the corporate snazz that some do, but wonderful, transformative things happen there. I have to say, even if you offered me a free massage with someone else, I wouldn't waste my time. He's that good and that worth paying for. And his rates are very reasonable.

Big fan of The Doorway -- it's upstairs from CorePower Yoga, so if I'm not going to relax in one way I've got the other to rely on!
Have not had a bad massage yet, and the atmosphere is relaxed and personal.

I decided at the last minute I needed and deserved a massage and was able to get in. Lucky, lucky me! I've had neck and back pain for the last few months and after just this one session, I feel better than I have in a LONG time! My therapist really listened to what my needs were and my massage was exactly what I needed.

David's fingers aren't just nimble or ridiculously strong. They are SMART. They can unearth the power of muscles that you barely remember exist, and with a single stroke or movement, he pinpoints exactly where the bottleneck is. He is by far the most nuanced and detail-oriented massage therapist I've had. He's also very attentive and committed to refining his techniques on you with every session. I don't think you could find a more multi-talented set of fingers on a more personable guy anywhere. David is cathartic!!

Dudes don't get massages. Right?
I was VERY reluctant to go see a massage therapist when recommended to do so after I had some serious problems with my IT band while training for a marathon, because... well... dudes don't get massages (especially from another dude) unless they're, you know, on vacation in Puerto Vallarta or something.I still ask David Wicklund not to tell anyone that I am now a regular customer making covert referrals to him left and right, but the truth is that he is excellent. The Doorway is a relaxing and comfortable place, the service is very professional and reasonably priced, and David has done a ton to get me back in running form through deep tissue massage and at-home therapy "homework" (much more than I can say for the physical "therapist" I've seen).
Highly, highly recommended!

Had a massage yesterday with at the downtown location. My therapist made me feel comfortable from the outset and was able to apply a great amount of pressure. My favorite part was afterward when he told me problem areas where I was carrying tension and suggested certain stretches tailored to me! Since I went on a Saturday there was parking right out front, and I was in and out easily. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for some relaxation by a non-wimp therapist.

David Wicklund is the best there is. His hands are strong and his demeanor is professional. He continues to learn in his profession.
I went to resolve issues with repetitive stress that caused pain throughout my back, arms and shoulders. We are working on that still-only because I cannot quit my job or stop playing on the computer. Massage/ David is also my drug of choice. I have too long to work before retirement to take medication for the pain I was having -so I decided that massage was the route to releif. It has helped immensely.

I am certain that David would score higher than any doctor in an anatomy quiz. In addition to having a think outside the box style of solving aches and pains, David is also exceptional at aromatherapy. I had a massage today and I feel and smell great.

I had a great massage here from David (and I'm very picky about my massages). I'll definitely be going back - I've already purchased 2 more sessions!

A little oasis on the north side, the Doorway opens to tranquility and wholeness I'd expect at a country spa. David continues to find areas of my body that I hadn't known were stress points and is an encyclopedia of advice on how to improve my health.

In my most recent marathon training program I developed some serious calf strain/soreness/fatigue issues that lingered for about a month. One visit to The Doorway... GONE. Incredible. David Wicklund is a miracle worker. The Doorway remains my marathon training pit crew.
